Begun in 1985, this union list of publications on regional serial exhibitions held by libraries
within the five states of Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and Oklahoma is still a valuable
resource. Chapter members were asked to survey their library collections for pamphlets and catalogs
which documented recurring exhibitions with a distinct organizer, format or theme. Under Marianne
Cavanaugh's leadership, preliminary lists were prepared and holdings records were added by the
participating libraries. Many of the publications are not included OCLC's WorldCat making this
project critically important for researchers studying the history of art within the region.
